Caitlin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and co-founder of Active Living Health, where she combines her extensive clinical background with her passion for patient-centered wellness. With over a decade of diverse healthcare experience—including functional medicine, regenerative therapies, hormone optimization, and mental health—Caitlin has seen firsthand how traditional systems often leave patients feeling dismissed, unheard, or told that everything looks normal. Through her years working in hospitals, infusion centers, and regenerative clinics, Caitlin recognized a common gap: patients long for real connection, ethical medical guidance, and a path to not just normal but optimal health. This realization inspired her to create her own practice, where the focus is on medically sound, sustainable weight management, hormone balance, and longevity practices rooted in empowerment and education.
Caitlin believes health is a partnership. She takes time to listen, understand each patient’s unique story, and create personalized care plans that align with both evidence-based medicine and long-term wellness goals. Her mission is to help patients take back control of their health, break free from the cycle of quick fixes, and achieve lasting vitality.Beyond her role as a clinician, Caitlin is a lifelong advocate for health and fitness. She is a triathlete, endurance runner, and fitness enthusiast who channels her own dedication to wellness into inspiring and motivating her patients. When she isn’t working with patients, Caitlin enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young sons, often training for races or simply enjoying an active lifestyle together.

Very few practitioners inspire hope and lead by example like Dr. Jodi Jakiel. After earning her Doctor of Chiropractic and Master’s in Sport Science from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, she returned home to Florida in 2008 to expand on what was already a decade-long career in healthcare. Guided by a passion to help others reclaim their health, she founded Active Living Medical Center in southeast Orlando in 2010 with a clear mission — to empower patients through education, restore their belief in their body’s ability to heal, and help them achieve goals they never thought possible.
Driven by curiosity and a love for movement science, Dr. Jakiel went on to earn her Diplomate in Sports Medicine (DABCSP™)—a distinction held by fewer than 300 doctors nationwide. Her expertise in biomechanics, nutrition, and performance optimization led her to work with elite and Olympic-level athletes, including the USA Beach Volleyball Team, where she was recognized as USAVB Provider of the Year in 2023. (Ask her about her time in Cape Town!)
Over the years, Dr. Jakiel’s passion for helping patients achieve lasting wellness evolved into a deep focus on functional and metabolic medicine. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she now specializes in uncovering the root causes of chronic issues such as hormonal imbalance, inflammation, and metabolism. Her care blends the best of chiropractic, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine to create personalized plans that restore energy, balance metabolism, and improve overall vitality.
Her approach is simple yet transformative — identify the “why” behind illness, support the body’s innate capacity to heal, and help patients live stronger, healthier, and more vibrant lives.
